I am sorry, I am getting little worried now, since past nearly 24 hrs, support is trying to transfer my site with no success!

If FH would have using Cpanel, I would have done it myself, but I am completely new to HSpere, and hence had asked on the forum before signing. Only after confirmation, I signed up.

I am worried now :weeping:

Keep working at it. Once things are running and six months have gone by, you'll look back and be glad you switched to FluidHosting.

pingme,

We have updated you on this. We can not tranfers some of your files, the images on your directories since these images are owned by user "httpd". You will have to contact your host to have ownership of your files under your account directory, in particular the images, be changed to you/your user name.

Let us know in what way have we not tried to transfer your site. It's all pending you/your host to resolve the ownership problem. Until then, your site will not be able to be transferred. We can't do this from our side.

If you have the images, you can just upload them to your account.

Or....

If your old host is being a PITA, put all the images on a webpage (since it should be run as httpd it will have access) and download them that way ;)

Good luck, I'm sure the FH guys are doing all they can :)

Graeme

<edit> You might actually be able to access the files to dowload via cPanel file manager</edit>

pingme, you will also see: hsphere is so much better than this exploitable cpanel toy. Like true multi-domain management to name only one feature.

pingme,

I believe I understand what the confusion now. CPanel Backup creates separate folder for files owned by httpd (stored under folders "httpdfiles"). We have been looking for the images file under other directory.

My apology for missing this. Last time we have in-depth experience with CPanel was 3 years ago (yes, we used to be CPanel host too). And we see that CPanel does thing quite differently now.

All of your files should be transferred already now.
