Notice sent to all shared hosting customers:

Dear Customer,

We are rescheduling maintenance windows for this coming Tuesday and Wednesday, 02/08/05 and 02/09/05 at around 2:00-3:00 AM Eastern Time (GMT -05:00). During these maintenance windows, we will perform a final conversion on the HSphere database and upgrade HSphere from 2.4.1-p6 to 2.4.2. This upgrade brings new features which can be found here:

http://www.psoft.net/HSdocumentation/versions/index.php?v=242&p=r

The previous maintenance attempt on the database caused corruption. The corruption problem will be corrected tonight by cleaning up the database. This will require a few minutes of downtime to the control panel to backup the database. This will be performed at 2:00am EST, which is the maintenance time we held for the HSphere upgrade.

The maintenance on Tuesday (database conversion) will cause the control panel to be unavailable for 120-180 minutes and will not affect any other services.

The maintenance on Wednesday (HSphere upgrade) will cause the control panel and unix web servers to be unavailable for approximately 20-30 minutes.

All other services, such as Windows servers, all mail servers, and all database servers will remain unaffected at all times.

Should you have any questions and/or concerns regarding this scheduled maintenance, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@fluidhosting.com.

Please plan for this maintenance window accordingly. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
Administrators
