Fluid Hosting Ruined My Life!

I joined Fluid Hosting over 18 months ago now. At that time fluidhosting had a great reputation in the industry, I guess they still do.

Support was informal and friendly, not just polite, you really thought these guys were your friends. About 6 months after me joining they added another support employee: Alex. Again, he was friendly and helpful. There didn't seem to be much he didn't know how to fix. They added an IRC channel so you could chat to them. This led to, in my opinion, even better and faster support since you could 'to and fro' a problem much easier.

The forum here was always a source of fun, help and occasionally heated (but considered) debate. The people who frequent here are good people.

Uptime has nearly always been 100%. When it's not been 100% it's usually been 99.9%. I don't think it's ever dipped below 99%. And the connections have always been fast. Certainly faster than most hosts in the US from the UK.

So how did Fluid Hosting ruin my life you ask... Well they didn't but it got you to read this far :) I really have nothing bad to say about them and I think for prospective customers they will have a hard time finding someone who will. Fluid Hosting is run by people who care about their customers.

I look forward to being here for a long time yet (if they'll still have me) :D

Fluid Hosting a problem host? I don't know, I think we have things to work on, but generally I think we run a pretty tight ship. All hosts will run into problems, downtime, and unsatisfied customers. Can't please everyone. I think the best part about our team is our general knowledge. We all have strong points in specific areas, but if one of us is missing, the others can make up for it with little additional effort. We're all focused on customer service, as well, which helps a lot.

I wonder what Dave has up his sleeves for FH in the next few years. He's been promising a "How FH Began" story for a while, but I haven't heard much of a peep of that yet...

So, what's the bad news?

What is FH's strongest argument? Is it that they are credible, knowledgeable and can demonstrate their trustworthiness? Well sure, that's true, but it's not their strongest argument.

Their strongest argument is us, their customer base, because if it was bad here then we'd let you know all about it in no time at all.

So, if you're reluctant to trust them, then will you stop basing your assumptions on your fears and trust us instead?

FH is great.... I am glad I found them almost two years ago come April!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The longest I had been with a hosting company before FH (since 1997) was 8 months.

LOL... do you have a memory.... No, I closed the reseller account a while ago... almost a year now. It was great, but I found out that customer support is what really counts in web hosting. With the other company I was the customer support, and I did not have time to be there 24/7, so I did the noble thing and shut it down, fast.

You might be the only one to remember that I even offered hosting. LOL... even I almost forget!
