The following mainenance has been scheduled. All VPS customers have been notified.
Dear Valued Customers,
This is a notification update to the upcoming scheduled maintenance planned on this coming Sunday, 02/27/2005 starting at 11:00 PM Eastern Time (GMT -05:00). The maintenance will upgrade our HSPc to version 3.1, our Virtuozzo to version 2.6.1. The maintenance will also upgrade all kernels to the newest version. The order of the maintenance would be to upgrade kernels and Virtuozzo on all VPS hardware and management nodes and after all nodes are upgraded, we will upgrade HSPc.
Unfortunately, this maintenance will require all VPS to be shut down and all servers to be rebooted. SW-Soft (the VPS developers) will perform this maintenance and they have estimated around 15-20 minutes of downtime per hardware node for the Virtuozzo and Kernel upgrade. After the hardware node is rebooted, each VPS will be started one by one, and thus the downtime on each VPS will vary. However, we estimate that the maximum downtime on any particular VPS should not exceed 45 minutes.
Virtuozzo and Kernel upgrades will be performed with the following order:
hardware node: hn1-pnap (VPS2, 66.150.197.248) at around 11:00 PM EST
hardware node: hn2-pnap (VPS3, 66.150.197.246) at around 11:20 PM EST
hardware node: hn3-pnap (VPS4, 66.150.197.244) at around 11:40 PM EST
hardware node: hn1-peer1 (VPS5, 69.90.170.130) at around midnight EST
management node: mn-pnap (VPS1, 66.150.197.250) at around 12:20 AM EST
After Virtuozzo and Kernel are upgraded, HSPc (the VPS control panel) will be upgraded. HSPc/VPS Control Panel will be down for around one hour and thus during this period, Control Panel service will not be available.
