The following email notification has been sent to all shared hosting customers.
As part of our ongoing effort to make your hosting experience as smooth as possible, we will be upgrading many aspects of our services in the next few weeks. First of these service upgrades is an upgrade to the control panel service which we will perform in the near few days. However, as a first step to this control panel upgrade, PostgreSQL database on our control panel server would have to be upgraded to the latest 7.4.8 version.
This email is to notify you of the upcoming scheduled maintenance on the control panel PostgreSQL service, which we are scheduling on Tuesday, 06/21/2005 at around 3:00 AM local time (GMT -04:00). We estimate the total maintenance work may take up to or around 6 hours. During this maintenance work, the control panel service will be stopped and a manual upgrade to PostgreSQL database will be performed. We would of course back up our control panel database, which will take the most significant amount of time on this maintenance work.
No other services, beside the control panel service, will be affected during the maintenance work. So all of your websites, emails and databases will still be up and running as usual.
Please accept our sincerest apology for the necessary shut down of the control panel service during this maintenance window. Once the control panel database has been upgraded, we will make a scheduled maintenance for the control panel upgrade. The control panel upgrade will bring up new features, bug fixes, as well as general control panel performance improvements.
