Dear Valued Customers,
As most of you have known, we migrated our mail servers to their new home on 07/16/2005 (for mail1.fluidhosting.com) and 07/17/2005 (for mail2.fluidhosting.com). Since then, we have been forwarding all email traffic that still ends up on the old mail servers to the new mail servers. The migration work on 07/16/2005 and 07/17/2005 had been completed successfully. Most emails are currently being served by new mail servers on our Equinix data center in Secaucus, NJ.
This email notification is to inform you that we will disconnect/shut down the old mail servers by August 7th, 2005 on 00:01 AM local time (GMT -04:00). If you are using third party name servers and at the same time use our mail servers for your mail service, then you will need to make sure that your MX record is pointing to the new IP.
- If your MX record currently points to 66.150.201.101 (old mail1.fluidhosting.com IP), please change this to 204.14.90.61 (new mail1.fluidhosting.com IP).
- If your MX record currently points to 66.150.201.102 (old mail2.fluidhosting.com IP), please change this to 204.14.90.62 (new mail2.fluidhosting.com IP).
Please also note that DNS changes usually take around 72 hours to propagate. Some ISPs may even take longer than 72 hours to update and refresh their DNS servers. Thus, please make sure you update your DNS server well before August 7th, 2005 to give time for DNS propagation.
After 00:01 AM local time on August 7th 2005, we will no longer be responsible for any emails traffic that still being forwarded to our old mail servers (66.150.201.101 and 66.150.201.102).
Should you have any questions and/or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at support[at]fluidhosting.com.
Sincerely,
Administrators
