I have just received this email from Internap. Obviously we are OK as all servers/services are still up and running. Glad to know that the backup generators are doing their job!

Hello,

We were notified by our facility in BSN (70 Inner Belt Road Sommerville, MA) that lightning struck the building and knocked out the main power. Currently, the facility is running on back up generators and our
electrician is on the way to examine the power systems and restore main power as quickly as possible. At this point there has been no power
interruption to the PNAP or any customers due to backup generator power.

We will provide you more updates as they become available.

Update on the A/C. Hopefully everything is OK. I can't imagine 90 on the DC. That must be very uncomfortable for everybody and all equipments.

Hello,

Following the change over to generator backup, our AC units did not
come back on line. We manually switched these over to the generators at which
point they powered back up. It looks like temperature got as high as 90 degrees
at the facility. The AC are now up and running at this time. Also our
electrician is on-site addressing the issue. More updates are to follow.

Further update from Internap.

Hello,

We were notified by our facility in BSN that our electrician is still
on site working to restore the main power. We have enough fuel in the
back up generators to last until Sunday, however we expect main power to
be restored shortly.

Both of HVACs are up at this time, and the temperature is beginning to
cool down. We have been informed that upon the loss of main power, both
HVAC units failed to convert to backup power sources and shut down. One
unit was able to be powered on with generator power, however the second
remained down for approximately 90 minutes until the electrician arrived
onsite and was able to restore power to it.

Everything is back to normal now. Update from Internap below. Kudos to the Internap folks!

Greetings,

The power is restored at the BSN facility and the building is
running on street power at this time. Everything has been stable at the
bsn facility since power was restored. The hvac units are running as per
the last notification. We apoligize for the lateness of this
notification.
