The following email has been sent to all shared hosting customers.
NOTE: Please do not reply to this email directly. This mailbox is not monitored and your reply will not be attended to. Please direct your reply to support[at]fluidhosting.com.
Dear Valued Customers,
For over a year, Fluid Hosting has offered the alternative SMTP port (port 2025) for customers whose ISPs or situations block access to port 25. While this method has worked quite well, it hasn't been without it's flaws. The recent mail server upgrade has introduced a native alternative SMTP port (port 587) which we plan use to replace port 2025.
This email is to notify you our intend to discontinue our support of port 2025. Beginning on Tuesday, September 6th, 2005, we will stop supporting port 2025 and will replace this with port 587. If you are currently using port 2025 to send email, you can switch now to port 587 and ensure the smooth transition.
The standard SMTP port (port 25) and SMTP over SSL port (port 465) will still be supported in addition to this new alternative port (port 587).
