Hi,

a few questions, regarding vhosting a website with you:

1. is PHP in safe_mode?
2. Have you got mod_rewrite on, and can I configure it locally with .htaccess?
3. is database (mysql) space measured as part of the disk space, or is that separate?
4. which versions of php any mysql are you running currently? If you're still on php4, any plans to migrate to php5?

Cheers,

Max

John, then you should also recompile your php4-mysql module, since it's still on 4.0.24 (web2). phpmyinfo:

mysql
MySQL Support enabled
Active Persistent Links 2
Active Links 3
Client API version 4.0.24
MYSQL_MODULE_TYPE external
MYSQL_SOCKET /tmp/mysql.sock
MYSQL_INCLUDE -I/usr/local/include/mysql
MYSQL_LIBS -L/usr/local/lib -lmysqlclient

Hi Max,

Thank you for your interest in our service.

PHP5 will not be supported until the control panel developers officially support it. This is because there are still many backward incompatibility issues between PHP4 and PHP5. However, you can purchase our Virtual Private Server (VPS) solution and we can assist you with installing PHP5 on the VPS. In fact, VPS just behaves like a small dedicated server and you can install any applications you want. To learn more about our VPS, please visit http://www.fluidhosting.com/vps/.
