Dear Valued Customer,

This email notification is sent to inform you about the emergency scheduled maintenance to be performed tonight, within the next 30 minutes.

Earlier today, we lost power on rack #1 which host both of our mail servers (mail1, mail2), one database server (db2/mysql2/pgsql2), our control panel server, and NS3 (also hosting our forums, IRC, and support.fluidhosting.com). Rack #1 also host few other colocation and dedicated customer servers. We simply did not have enough power on rack #1.

Yesterday our order for additional power was approved and installed by Equinix. In the best interest of preventing any future service interruption due to the lack of power capacity, we are scheduling this emergency maintenance to move some servers (mail1, mail2, control panel, and NS3) to rack #5 where we already have additional 20 Amps of power. Some servers on rack #5 will also be moved to the new power strip in order to balance out power usage on rack #5.

We are scheduling the following servers to be powered down (in the order of when the servers will be shut down):
1. db1/mysql1/pgsql1 server and win3 server
2. mail2 server
3. mail1 server
4. CP server
5. NS3 server

This emergency maintenance will be commenced at around 11:20 PM Eastern Time (GMT -05:00). The downtime on each server should not exceed 10 minutes for each server.

Please accept our sincerest apology for the service interruptions due to the power outages we had.

We have also moved our community forum (http://forums.fluidhosting.com) off network, to our cabinet installation in Telehouse, NYC. We will also soon move our DNS3, IRC, and support.fluidhosting.com off network. In addition, we will be phasing out our AP9225 PDU units and replace them with AP7901 units which will allow us to monitor power usage to ensure that we will never exceed our power capacity in the future.

Should you have any questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@fluidhosting.com.

Sincerely,
System Administrators,

PS: Please do not reply to this email directly as your reply will not be attended to. Instead, please direct all of your questions/concerns to support@fluidhosting.com.

Dear Valued Customer,

This email notification is to update you regarding the emergency power maintenance performed on Friday, 12/16/2005 starting at 11:20 PM Eastern Time.

At this time, the following servers:
1. db1 server
2. win3 server
3. mail1 server
4. mail2 server
5. Control Panel server

have all been migrated to a separate PDU. We are postponing the migration of NS3 server. This maintenance should eliminate the power capacity problem. The new APC Swith PDU units will allow us to monitor our power consumption in real time, to further prevent over power commitment.

At this time, all services have resumed normal.

We thank you for your patience and understanding while we improve our services. Should you have any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@fluidhosting.com.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
System Administrators,
