Hi guys!

I am interested in getting an account with you and have a few questions.

1. I currently live in the US, but might move to Europe within a year or two. Do you have accept credit card payments with cards that are issued outside the US? I have heard that some places won't accept them.

2. Email reliability is very important for me, I like the fact that you have dedicated mailservers. Were there any interruptions or downtime in the past?

3. Do you oversell your servers?

4. Is there somewhere a status page that shows server status, server load, and uptime info?

I think that's all for now. :)

Thanks!
Florian

Hi Florian,

Thank you for your interest in our service. To answer your questions:

1. I currently live in the US, but might move to Europe within a year or two. Do you have accept credit card payments with cards that are issued outside the US? I have heard that some places won't accept them.

This should not be a problem. As long as the credit cards bear VISA, MasterCard or AMEX logo, then we should be able to process it.

2. Email reliability is very important for me, I like the fact that you have dedicated mailservers. Were there any interruptions or downtime in the past?

We guarantee our service to be up and running 99.9% of any given time. This allows us for at most 43 minutes of downtime/service interruption in any given month before our SLA refund credit takes place. I will be the first hesitantantly admit that we did have downtime on the mail servers recently (late December 2005) involving fail disk drive (SATA drive). This is not a typical of us as before then, our mail server uptime has always exceeded 99.9%. We are working on making our mail servers more redundant by implementing backup mail server as well as enforcing hardware RAID1 on all mail servers (work are still in progress). Having said this, we do employ multiple mail servers and your account will be on another mail server that did not suffer a disk failure experienced on the other mail server and thus, having a higher uptime so far.

3. Do you oversell your servers?

Certainly not. We do not oversell our servers and our network.

4. Is there somewhere a status page that shows server status, server load, and uptime info?
