Hello,

I currently have a windows hsphere reseller account with you guys, and love it.

The only "problem" is that there are not many MSSQL databases included, and our costs are going to go up if we have to pay "per database", etc...

So I'm considering to switch to a Plesk VPS, where we can presumably install SQL Server 2005 Express Edition and allow customers to manage them with the Plesk powerpack addon.

1. Can you confirm that will work? (Can customers manage mssql databases using the powerpack addon, with sql server 2005 express edition?)

2. Can you tell me what type (if any?) of server management is included with the VPS? Does plesk do everything automatically, or do you guys do some server admin, too? Specifically, I'm thinking about regular windows updates, security updates, any firewall issues, and then things like killing runaway scripts that bring down the server, etc...

Thanks!

Hello,

PowerPack can manage SQL Server 2005 Express.

As for server management, it's semi-managed. We'll handle Windows updates as they are done by Virtuozzo itself. As for issues with scripts, etc. our support is limited to the software provided, however we can provide additional assistance at 75/hr billable in 15 minute increments.
