One of our VPS, Helium (VPS1, 66.150.197.6) , is currently having a problem, and we are looking into it at the moment. No other customers are affected except VPS customers on this server. No ETA at this moment.

VPS1 (Helium) is now up and running. Each VPS is being rebooted one by one, in the order of an increasing VEID.

We detected a faulty memory this time. The faulty memory had been removed and we are adding another 2GB on the server, giving a total of 4 GB of physical memory. The server, unfortunately, needs to undergo fsck process again.

Most of the VPS accounts are already running again. There another half a dozen or so left to be started.

Once again, we apologize for the downtime.

All VPSes should be up and running again. Please check your VPS and contact support[at]fluidhosting.com if you find anything unusualy with your VPS.

Most of the downtime was spent to wait for fsck. The fsck was done and we the server was restarting each VPS one by one when suddenly the server crash due to a faulty memory module. We replaced the memory, and add another 2GB of memory. Because of the crash, fsck was done on the server yet another time.

Once fsck is done, it took roughly about 5-10 minutes to restart each VPS. This is very unusual since usually it only took around 30-60 seconds to restart each VPS . We are in contact with the VPS developer to have them take a look on this problem.

At this moment, all VPSes are up and running and we expect no further problem/downtime. Our billing department will contact each of you for the service credit for the downtime. Once again, we truely and sincerely apologize for the downtime.

Should you have any further questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at support[at]fluidhosting.com.
