This maintenance has been scheduled. Notification has been sent to all shared hosting customers.
Dear Valued Customers,
Dell has issued a motherboard replacement for some of their PowerEdge 1650 servers production, due to a small flaw in their motherboard design/manufacture. Our MSSQL server is hosted on this affected server and thus, it needs a motherboard replacement.
We will schedule this motherboard replacement on our MSSQL server tomorrow, Sunday, 06/06/2004 at 7:30PM local time (GMT -04:00). Before the motherboard is replaced, we will backup all MSSQL databases. We estimate the total downtime to be around 60-90 minutes, including the backup process. No unexpected problems will arise from this maintenance work. Although we will perform MSSQL backup, we still encourage you to perform a backup of your MSSQL database yourself.
This scheduled maintenance work only affect customers with MSSQL database. All other customers and other services will be not be affected.
We will use our forums to update you on this maintenance window. This update/follow up can be accessed at at http://forums.fluidhosting.com/showthread.php?p=4289. You will need to register as a member to access our forums. We welcome you to register as member if you have not done so.
